Yoga is a mindfulness discipline that has been attempting to explain and connect individuals, the human mind, and the universe for thousands of years. Primarily, the term 'yoga' translates to the coming together of elements. It signifies the union of our egoic self (Jivaatma) with the universal spirit (Paraatma), embodying the unity of the self perceived as body-mind-spirit. The ultimate goal of all yoga types is to lead us to live our lives in a healthier body, with a calm mind, to experience a freer and more authentic spirituality, and to uncover our true potential. Summarizing the benefits of yoga, it increases flexibility, strengthens muscles, improves balance, aligns our posture, enhances the immune system, boosts breathing capacity, increases oxygenation of tissues and the brain, improves joint health, strengthens bones, soothes the nervous system, regulates the functioning of the digestive system, supports and enhances our detoxification processes, increases relaxation and the ability to unwind, and lowers stress levels. This event will include Traditional Hatha Yoga, Mobility & Hatha Flow, Yin Yoga, Slow Vinyasa, and Sound Meditation classes. Throughout these classes, you will engage in body awareness practices alongside yoga postures (asanas) and experience various meditation types, breathwork, and deep relaxation techniques.
